Costa Rica - Smart LED Street Light Project
Tuatara Group is supporting Compañía Nacional de Fuerza y Luz (CNFL), the electric power distribution utility for the capital city of San Jose, with its plans for deploying up to 100,000 smart LED street lights. The feasibility study will address technical, financial, and policy and regulatory issues for the project and additional smart cities technologies and solutions that could be built off of the networked street light infrastructure.

Smart Street Lighting Technical Assistance
Tuatara Group is supporting Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) in the planning and implementation of its Smart LED Street Light Project. The project will improve energy efficiency and improve reliability of the country's estimated 105,000 street lights. The project will also integrate with JPS's Smart Grid roadmap implementation and introduce additional smart city services for public safety and security, emergency response, pubic WiFi, smart parking, and/or traffic management. Tuatara Group is providing technical, financial, and regulatory assistance to JPS through a USTDA grant funded technical assistance program.

USTDA Selects Tuatara Group to Organize USTDA Trade Events
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has selected Tuatara Group as a contractor to organize the Agency’s trade-related events including Reverse Trade Missions (RTMS), Conferences, Workshops, Trainings that support its mission.
USTDA is an independent U.S. Government Agency that provides grant funding to overseas project sponsors for the planning of projects that support the development of modern infrastructure and an open trading system. The hallmark of USTDA development assistance has always involved building partnerships between U.S. companies and overseas partners.

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) has selected Tuatara Group member company, Emerging Markets Infrastructure, working in cooperation with 3E Consulting, Cimperium, Smart Cities Council, Smart Cities Council India and Studio POD (India), to provide technical services supporting the agency’s role in India’s smart city development. The USTDA project is taking a lead role in smart cities development in the following cities: Ajmer in Rajasthan, Allahabad in Uttar Pradesh, and Visakhapatnam (“Vizag”) in Andhra Pradesh.
