Mr. Chakraborti has 30+ years of experience in energy recovery, conservation and renewable energy projects. He is a world-renowned technical expert in mini-grid development projects for rural electrification and energy access for productive use and has been involved in such projects in several countries in Sub-Saharan Africa and Asia.  As a mini-grid technical expert, Mr. Chakraborti has led comprehensive energy demand and productive use assessments, technical design, and financial feasibility analysis to secure institutional financing for large mini-grid based rural electrification projects in multiple countries in both East and West Africa.  His other expertise includes energy storage integration, decarbonization options for power plants, waste recycling for the renewable energy sector, greenhouse gas emissions reduction in power generation and transportation sectors, installation and commissioning of smart grids, clean energy assessments and policy analysis. Mr. Chakraborti has an MBA and master's and bachelor’s degrees in chemical engineering.
