The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is hosting the Turkey Live Power Line Maintenance and Repair (LWMR) Reverse Trade Mission (RTM) June 12-22, 2019 to familiarize representatives from Turkey’s energy sector with advanced U.S. technologies, best practices and techniques, as well as regulations for LWMR operations.

This would then enable the Turkish delegates to have a better framework to implement a nationwide LWMR strategy in Turkey. Up to fourteen high-ranking officials from Turkey’s energy sector, as well as one representative from the U.S. Embassy in Ankara will travel to the United States to participate in the RTM.
The RTM will include meetings with U.S. manufacturers of LWMR technology and equipment, trade associations, as well as representatives from relevant state and/or federal regulatory agencies, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). In addition, the delegation will have the opportunity to visit certified training facilities to learn about leading U.S. technologies and their safe application when operating on live power lines and to tour U.S. manufacturing facilities.
