Daniel Kuwornu, Senior Associate - Finance, West Africa Region

Daniel has over 20 years combined experience in Banking and Finance, business strategy, energy, oil & gas, process engineering and derivative trading. He has been mandated lead arranger and advisor for over $3 billion depth and equity.  He previously worked as a Director for Standard Chartered Bank in Ghana where he managed a portfolio of assets across the oil and gas, energy, and infrastructure value chain. He leveraged his experience in corporate, project and structured trade finance to create sustainable solutions for his clients who were mostly large corporate, government institutions and small and medium enterprises.  At Goldman Sachs, he leveraged his unique insights in finance and engineering to assist his team trade complex derivatives instruments. He gained his experienced in the energy sector through his time at the Tema Oil Refinery and the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) in Ghana.  He received his MBA from Duke University, U.S. and his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana
