GHANA: Mini-Grid Feasibility Study

Tuatara performed a feasibility study for the Ministry of Energy to identify, analyze and categorize 50 communities with respect to their suitability for renewable energy-based mini-grid electrification; define the demand, ability, and willingness to pay, design and siting for mini-grids; make technology recommendations for energy storage solutions; assess various ownership, financing and management options and recommend sustainable business models; work with the government to structure a competitive tender; and draft the tendering documents and advance an application for EXIM Bank financing.
