Terry Peterson, Senior Associate - Renewable Energy

Terry Peterson is a solar power technology consultant whose career includes over 40 years of solar energy technology research in government labs, public-private collaboratives, and private industry. His recent activities include participating as Senior Technologist on lender's technical advisor teams for solar PV and concentrating solar power plants totaling over 900 MW, consulting for the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Solar Program, serving as an outside reviewer for the U.S. DOE Solar Electric Technology Program, and supporting the California Energy Commission’s Public Interest Energy Research solar R&D program. Terry was an EPRI research manager for 17 years, leading work on PV and solar thermal-electric technology development and demonstration projects. He also managed EPRI's work on understanding dynamics of green power markets. Earlier he was a research engineer for Chevron Research Co. for over 8 years and a staff scientist at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He holds a B.A. in physics from Univ. of California at San Diego, an M.A. in physics, and Ph.D. in Mat. Sci. and Eng., both from the Univ.
